If you’re looking for a quiet and prayerful way to enter the New Year, Cloud-Bearing Mountain Christian Retreat’s New Year’s Program might be for you. The program will begin at 8:30 p.m. and includes periods of formal silent prayer/meditation, culminating in a sung Mass for healing and peace to begin at 10:30 p.m. A reception will follow. Overnight accommodations are available upon request, and guests are welcome to stay for Lauds (sung morning service) on Jan. 1, 2024, with a New Year’s brunch following. RSVPs are encouraged but not necessary unless staying overnight.
The center will also host an open house on New Year’s Day from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Visitors are welcome to stop in for food and beverages and to tour the small retreat center and church.
There is no cost to attend. Donations are welcome.
