Snowshoeing Basics

Posted

Curious about snowshoeing? The public is invited to “Snowshoeing Basics” on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 11:30 a.m. at Morgan Outdoors in Livingston Manor. This relaxed 30-minute indoor session will cover how snowshoes work, what to wear, where to go, and creative ways to have fun!
Snowshoeing is suitable for a wide range of ages. Children old enough to enjoy a hike are old enough to enjoy snowshoes. Snowshoeing can also be a calorie-burning workout depending on the trail and terrain. Just as some hiking trails could be called “walking trails,” snowshoes enable relaxed winter walks with the advantage of traction. It can be enjoyed in backyards, nearby public parks and trails without any entry fee.
Register to reserve a place at 845-439 5507 or email to info@morgan-outdoors.com. All participants will receive a coupon for future snowshoe rental to sample this easy winter activity.
Morgan Outdoors is located at 46 Main St., Livingston Manor. Hours are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Sunday. www.morgan-outdoors.com.
