The Out of the Woodwork Players (OWP) and the Sidney Community Band will join forces Saturday, Dec. 3 to benefit the Bainbridge and Sidney food pantries.

The 2 p.m. matinee opens with a concert and caroling, courtesy of the Sidney Community Band.

OWP then takes the stage with Peter Bloedel’s one act play, A Seussified Christmas Carol. Classic Dickens gets a Seussy twist with cast members ranging in age from five to over 50.

Tom Schimmerling heads the cast as Scrooge, with Cratchits including Andrew Perry (Mr.), Marianne Johansen (Mrs.) and Juliet Sullivan (Timmy Loo Hoo).

Eileen Tallmadge and Pat Hanson narrate while spooky visitors, played by River Tallmadge and Sue Fletcher, join Madyson Smith (Belle), Logan Hunter (nephew Fred), Jonathan Rude (Boy), and Angel Bryan (Maid) in the ensemble.

Free will donations of shelf stable food items or cash for the Bainbridge and Sidney food pantries will be collected.
