Posted by Michelle.macau@gmail.com

Come and meet orphan, Anne Shirley, and nine other memorable characters from the novel. Anne arrives at Green Gables in Avonlea, Prince Edward Island, Canada, to find that her adopters really wanted to adopt a boy to help with farm chores. Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert are unmarried middle-aged siblings and proprietors of Green Gables, who after the initial misunderstanding, take Anne under their wing.

The play recreates the significant events from the novel highlighting Anne’s penchant for getting into trouble and how the community learns to love her as their own.
Performed in the style of a radio play, seven actors will give voice and life to ten characters and perform the sound effects live.

Performers include Darlene DeMaille, Paul Eisemann, Landon Lang, Maya Raffaele, Nadya Rockefeller, Patricia Van Tassel, and Jessica Wright.

There will be a Q&A after the performance.
