Card of Thanks

Posted

We want to thank everyone for the overwhelming outpouring of love and support after Bill’s passing. Paul and Jessica Decker at MacArthur Funeral Home - we thank you for the flawless walk-through on something I did not want to be doing - you helped me every step of the way. Heather McAdams, who set up meals for my girls and me - thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you, everyone that donated meals or dishes for the reception, setting up or taking down.

Thank you, New Hope Community Church, for allowing us to have calling hours, and the wonderful New Hope church ladies who prepared the beautiful luncheon and reception. Thank you St. John Catholic Church and Father Golding  for conducting the heartwarming service; Walton Cemetery for making it a bit easier to find Bill’s final resting place overlooking the baseball field; Sullivan Correctional facility and Bill’s extended family at the prison; and Walton Fire Department for making him an honorary member. Your added touches were absolutely beautiful.

Walton Little League, thank you for thinking to have a trophy made in honor of Bill. It couldn’t have gone to a more deserving man. Thank you, friends near and far who reached out to us in one way or another. During this difficult time there were very special people that stood by our sides throughout it all. We would like to send  huge thank-yous to Bill and Melissa Angevine, Jennifer DiNardo, and Michelle and Ellie Truman for always being there, and helping us throughout this thing we call life. Bill is missed tremendously, but his spirit will live on through us and his love for baseball. You don’t realize how much your community pulls together until a tragedy happens to your family. We are blessed for the people who helped during this very difficult time. Deanna, Alexis and Caragh O’Connor
