Steven Smith of Sidney received a juris doctor degree from Quinnipiac University during a commencement ceremony held in May.

Vermont State University is proud to congratulate Stanley Andersen of Andes for being named to the dean’s list for the spring 2024 semester.

Alexandra Gue of Delhi was among graduates who received degrees and/or certificates from Shenandoah University during the 2023-24 academic year. Gue earned a bachelor of arts in media and communication.

Lacey Eckert from Bloomville has been named to St. Lawrence University’s dean’s list for achieving academic excellence during the spring 2024 semester. Eckert is a member of the class of 2026 and is majoring in data science. Eckert attended South Kortright Central School.

Purchase College announced that more than 1,300 students were named to the dean’s list for the spring semester including Kisa Torres of Hancock, Dusty Richards of Bovina Center, and Isaiah Smith of Franklin. 

More than 4,650 students in the class of 2024 were celebrated during UAlbany’s 180th commencement festivities. Among the graduates were an estimated 2,934 undergraduates and 1,719 graduate students, including recipients who completed their degrees during summer 2023, fall 2023 and winter 2024.

The following local students have graduated from the University at Albany: Britney Davila of Roxbury, bachelor of arts cum laude in sociology; Christina Huntress of Walton, bachelor of arts in anthropology; Max Jacobs of Walton, bachelor of science magna cum laude in business administration; Samantha Misa of Bovina Center, doctor of philosophy in history; Daemon Reed of Hobart, bachelor of science magna cum laude in emergency preparedness, homeland security & cybersecurity; and Helen Zheng of Stamford, bachelor of science in human biology.
