The annual Trout Run 5K steps off at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Will Smith Memorial Park on Front Street in Deposit. This year the course will be a USA Track & Field-certified 5K.
The race, hosted by the Deposit Chamber of Commerce, falls on a free fishing weekend, meaning no fishing license is required, making it a fantastic family-friendly activity.
Registration for the 5K run/walk is $33 at RunSignUp.com (search for Trout Run 5K) and closes June 25 at 11:59 a.m. Race check-in begins at 8 a.m. June 28.
Attendees can enjoy Brooks BBQ with delicious options for purchase in support of the Deposit Lumberjack Festival.
