Students ages eight through 16 are welcome to sign up for a free series of eight theater workshops held Wednesdays from 5-6:30 p.m. starting Sept. 14, at the First Presbyterian Church, 96 Main St, Stamford.

Workshops will be led by local theater educator Marisa Caruso, who taught a similar successful set of improv workshops in 2021.

Parents of interested students may sign them up by emailing: mrsacrso@gmail.com or by visiting the Stamford Village Library, 117 Main Street, Stamford. Workshops will include explorations of basic theater techniques in performance, writing, production elements, and script analysis with a final presentation for families and friends of students. In eight weeks, students will learn a series of vocal and physical warm-ups and theater games, a variety of acting and writing exercises, a few famous playwrights and their styles, and present short scenes for their families and peers. Capacity is 15 students.
