June Workshops at the Headwaters Arts Center

Cool off and dive into some exhilarating workshops at the Headwaters Arts Center this June.

Headwaters Program Coordinator Rhiannon Radu said the workshops are an opportunity to create something beautiful. Not only do you learn new artforms, but acquiring a skill that can be used for years to come.

Chris Christman of Brooklyn Marbling will lead Suminagashi, a weekend workshop on paper and silk marbling. Explore the meditative and mesmerizing art of Japanese marbling at the Headwaters Arts Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 18 and 19.

On the following Saturday, June 25 from 12 noon to 2 p.m., Megan Avery of Hipstitch Academy will offer a Sashiko embroidery workshop. Participants will learn the ancient embroidery technique and complete a small pillow project with geometric patterns.
