WCS inducts 10 into National Honor Society

Ten members have been inducted into the Walton Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) with a traditional ceremony. The ceremony included the candle lighting, and explanations of scholarship, leadership, character and service. The newest members of the Walton chapter are Heidi Decker, Eve Foster, David Gatchalian, Caroline Gorence, Faith Lambert, Hayvn Merwin, Ella Rhinehart, Abigail Seguare, Allene Vesterfelt and Isabella Yetto.

These students join current honor society members Caden LeBarge, Meyer Little, Makara MacGibbon, Gianni Marano, Elizabeth Richards and Rachel Trimbell.

The new inductees recited the NHS pledge: “I pledge myself to uphold the high purposes of this society to which I have been elected, striving in every way by word and deed to make its ideals the ideals of my school and of my life.”

Elected NHS officers are President Rachel Trimbell, Vice President Caden LeBarge, Treasurer Gianna Marano and Secretary Elizabeth Richards.
