A Delaware County scholarship program created to honor the memory of engineer and entrepreneur James L. Knak awarded $152,000 in college assistance to local students this year.

Knak, a 1952 graduate of Charlotte Valley Central School, attended the University of Cincinnati and later founded his own engineering company.
