The Delaware County Youth Bureau announced the recipients of the 2025 Youth Awards, following an Oct. 30 awards ceremony, in a Dec. 8 press release.
Outstanding Youth Worker: Ashley Silano-Moore, Corrine Tompkins, Kaitlyn Conklin, Linda O’Brien, Bjorn Eilertsen, and Shawn Smith. This award is presented to individuals who have direct contact with youth and have contributed to the positive growth and development of a specific youth or group of young people.
Outstanding Personal Growth: Gregory Sanford-Quick, Joseph Sanford, Michael Sanford-Quick, Zachary Sanford-Quick, Sadie DeGraw, and Samantha Gorsch. This award is for youth under 21 who have overcome obstacles to achieve a goal or who have managed to keep their life in balance in spite of physical and/or personal difficulties.
Outstanding Young Humanitarian: Adam Cook and Tyler Reed. This award is for youth under 21 who have performed a service for an individual or the community unselfishly, giving freely of their time and effort, without intent of personal gain.
Outstanding Youth Group: Arya McLachlan, Emeiry McClenon, Ivy Caniff, Jaelyn Cash, Kimber Bowker, Kinley Fairchild, Mallory Phraner, Mickinzy Johnson, Addisen VanTyle, Reese LaTourette, and Amelia Buttice, led by Patti Bowker and Mary Phraner. This award is for youth working in the community as a group and is based on their community service efforts.
Outstanding Fund Raiser for Youth Projects: Blake Rossley. This award recognizes a volunteer who has made an outstanding effort to raise funds for a youth participation project.
Awardees and their families, friends, supporters, and those who nominated them were celebrated during the annual Youth Awards Banquet on Thursday, Oct. 30.
