STAMFORD - One of the most anticipated events of the summer is returning to Veterans Memorial Park as Bobby Curious’ 5th Annual Summer Camp Singalong takes place on Thursday, July 16, from noon to 1 p.m. as part of the Stamford NY Summer Concert Series.
Designed for children, families, summer camps, and anyone who remembers the joy of campfire music, this interactive concert transforms the park into one big singalong featuring classic summer camp favorites, hand motions, audience participation, and plenty of laughter.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their children, grandchildren, or even their entire summer camp group to experience an hour of music that celebrates the timeless traditions of summer.
The annual singalong draws upon Bobby Curious’ extensive background as a music educator and his years as a leader and member of the legendary Fieldston Outdoors Summer Camp Band in the Bronx, New York. His energetic style and playful personality have made the concert a favorite tradition for local camps and families alike.
Now in its fifth year, the Summer Camp Singalong has become the best-attended concert of the Stamford Summer Concert Series, with attendance growing each season. Last year’s event welcomed nearly 150 people to Veterans Memorial Park, making it the largest audience in the history of the series.
The Stamford Summer Concert Series is free and open to the public. Concerts are held Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. in Veterans Memorial Park, located at 97 Main Street, Stamford, NY. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy live music in the heart of the village.
In case of rain, this event will be moved indoors to The Churchill Gym, entrance located behind The Stamford Library, 117 Main St, Stamford, NY 12167 and The Stamford Pool.
