Meredith Historical Society will present a concert of 19th century music performed by historical balladeer Linda Russell at 2 p.m. Aug. 25, at the former Charlotte Valley Presbyterian Church, 10044 Elk Creek Road in East Meredith. The concert is free and all are invited. Russell’s rich singing voice, while performing on guitar, mountain and hammered dulcimers, and penny whistle, leads us on a historic journey of actual songs from the period with anecdotes and facts.
