Bidders crowded in as the Meridale Fire Department hosted a lively pie auction and gift bag raffle March 14, where 40 pies were sold and all prizes claimed. Chief Ed Fisher and his wife Rachel helped spark the bidding, while volunteers kept the crowd engaged. Organizers credited local businesses and residents whose donations made the event a success.
