The Catskill Mountain Club, a 21-year-old grassroots nonprofit devoted to free, member-led outings in the region, has announced a slate of late-November hikes that will take participants to some of the area’s most popular trails and forests.
The club, which promotes hiking, paddling, biking and other non-motorized outdoor recreation throughout the Catskills, will host three upcoming hikes, all open to the public at no cost.
Schedule
• Overlook Mountain from Platte Clove
Sunday, Nov. 23 — 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Onteora Lake and Bluestone Wild Forest
Friday, Nov. 28 — 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
