Catskill Mountain Club August Hiking Schedule

The Catskill Mountain Club will offer a series of free, member-led hikes across the Catskill Mountains throughout August, providing opportunities for hikers of varying experience levels to explore some of the region’s best-known peaks and trails.

Founded 22 years ago, the nonprofit organization promotes hiking, paddling and bicycling while advocating for nonmotorized outdoor recreation throughout the Catskills. All outings are led by volunteer members.

The August schedule includes:

Sunday, Aug. 2: Big Indian, Eagle and Haynes mountains, 9 a.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 5: Sugarloaf Mountain, 8 a.m.

Wednesday, Aug. 5: Slide, Wittenberg and Cornell mountains, 9 a.m.

Saturday, Aug. 8: Shingle Gully and Vernooy Falls, 8 a.m.
