Charlotte M. Walley

Charlotte M. Walley, 87, of Walton passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 27, 2022 at Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, after a brief illness. 

Charlotte was born July 31, 1935 in Bangor, Pa., the daughter of the late Eugene and Ada (Steinmetz) Supers. She was married to Marvin Walley for 65 years. He died March 21, 2020. 

Charlotte was a nurses aide working for pediatrics at Delaware Valley Hospital in Walton for many years. She enjoyed going to (Millers’) TA’s where she was part of the coffee club. She was always visiting with someone as she was a social butterfly and it seemed like she knew everyone. Charlotte and Marvin both enjoyed many years of traveling across country as well as camping every year with the family. Charlotte also enjoyed her artwork in ceramics and currently Diamond Artwork. 

Charlotte is survived by her loving family, her children Tina and Troy Bakker of Forestport; Marge and Bob Paffenroth of Washington; Marvin and Debbie Walley Jr., Tennessee; Patricia and James Roach, Walton; Merry Gardepe (Duane Bakker), Walton; David and Catherine Walley of Tennessee; Lorraine and Tim Hitt, Forestport; sister Evelyn Di Francesca, Easton, Pa.; sister-in-law Doris (Norman) Groat of Walton; and several foster and adoptive children. Charlotte was also a grandmother, great-grandmother, and a great-great grandmother to over 100 children and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her husband Marvin Walley Sr., brothers and sisters Eugene Supers, Charles Supers and Albert Supers; sisters Virginia LaBar, Sue Fahr and Dorothy Viglianti. 

A celebration of life and family reunion will be held in the summer of 2023.
