Charlotte Valley Central School is proud to honor this year’s valedictorian of the Class of 2026, Caleb Marino.
Over the years, Caleb has demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and a steadfast commitment to excellence. He has consistently earned a place on the honor roll while also receiving many academic excellence and initiative awards, recognizing both his exceptional performance and his dedication to going above and beyond in his studies. His hard work, curiosity, and drive distinguish him within his class and embody the determination that has led to his success. Caleb truly has a passion for learning, and this will continue to serve him well as he navigates future opportunities and embraces new challenges.
A valued athlete, Caleb has participated in varsity soccer, basketball, baseball, and tennis. His efforts highlight his ability to manage the demands of both academics and athletics with maturity and determination. In his senior year, Caleb was presented with the Joseph Beck Award in recognition of his involvement in interscholastic league competitions, exceptional academic achievements, and dedication to community service.
His remarkable academic and athletic achievements are matched only by his meaningful contributions to school and community. Caleb has served as treasurer for the Outdoor Club, the Class of 2026, and Varsity Club, where he has shown a high level of responsibility. His involvement extends to include service as president of Tri-M Honor Society, National Honor Society, NYS Math Honor Society, Art Club, and SADD, where he lent his leadership to help facilitate group activities. Through these organizations, Caleb has demonstrated a dedication to leadership and has helped give back to his school and community.
In the fall, Caleb will attend Hartwick College, where he plans to study music education. We are thrilled to celebrate him and all of his accomplishments. On behalf of everyone at Charlotte Valley, we wish him nothing but the best in his bright and promising future.
Charlotte Valley Central School is proud to honor this year’s salutatorian of the Class of 2026, Abigail Elisabeth Vroman.
Abigail is the daughter of Jeffrey and Rebecca Vroman of Charlotteville.
Throughout her time at Charlotte Valley, she has truly stood out for not only being a dedicated and hard-working student but also for her enthusiasm and spirit, which shine brightly in the halls of the school.
Academically, Abigail has consistently demonstrated an outstanding intellect, a strong work ethic, and above all else, a passion for learning. Throughout high school, she has taken some of our most challenging coursework, including advanced and honors-level coursework, and has excelled with high marks in each of them while earning college credit. Her commitment to excellence has been recognized through numerous distinctions, such as honor roll, academic excellence, and initiative awards. These recognitions showcase not only her academic success but also highlight her drive to always go the extra mile to be a leader, a positive role model in her class, and a standout athlete. She has received many academic all-star awards while participating in varsity basketball, golf, softball, and soccer, where she has served as a team captain. Abigail has been a recipient of the Section 4 Character Counts Award, which is given to students who demonstrate exceptional integrity, sportsmanship, and responsibility, both on and off the field. In her senior year, Abigail was honored with the Joseph Beck Award for her participation in interscholastic league competitions, outstanding academic records, and service to the community.
Beyond the classroom, Abigail has balanced a remarkable range of commitments. She has served as her class president and is a vital member of Student Council. She also participated in the Yearbook Club, Prom Committee, SADD, and the Drama Club. Abigail embodies the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and genuine character, where she was selected as a member of the National Honor Society, New York State Mathematics Honor Society, and Tri-M. She has been an integral member of the music program, and she has performed at NYSMMA, All-County, and Area All-State.
In the fall, Abigail plans to attend Elmira College, where she will be majoring in nursing.
