Colchester Historical Society presents railroad history Oct. 19

Colchester Historical Society invites those interested on a journey through time with a multi-media presentation on the history of the D&E and D&N Railroads Saturday, Oct. 19, at 2 p.m. The event will take place at the Shinhopple Memorial Center, 1406 Trout Brook Road, Shinhopple.

Local historian John Duda will share his in-depth knowledge and passion for these historic rail lines. A longtime trustee of both the Skene Memorial Library and the Greater Fleischmanns Museum of Memories, Duda’s expertise and engaging storytelling will bring the past to life.

The program will feature captivating visuals, including train and station photographs from the Colchester Historical Society’s extensive collection. This expanded presentation promises to be a fascinating experience for history enthusiasts and anyone interested in the region’s heritage.
