DCMO and ONC BOCES Host Leadership Academy

On June 15-16, leadership teams from 21 school districts, DCMO BOCES and ONC BOCES campuses attended the 2026 Leadership Academy: Unfolding The Future! The 2-day event was held at the Fort William Henry Resort in Lake George, and featured keynote speaker A.J. Juliani, an award-winning blogger, speaker, university instructor and author of multiple books, including “Adaptable, Empower, Launch” and “The PBL Playbook.” The event featured team-building activities, several breakout sessions on a variety of topics and informal conversations. The NYS Education Department “Portrait of a Graduate” was a topic in many presentations and conversations.

This year’s Leadership Academy was jointly organized and presented by the DCMO BOCES Instructional Support Services Team, led by Ginger Rinaldo, Assistant Superintendent of DCMO BOCES and the ONC BOCES Professional Learning Team, led by Dr. Brandie Nissen, Professional Learning Coordinator. Approximately 70 participants attended from the following districts and BOCES campuses: Afton, Bainbridge-Guilford, Charlotte Valley, Cherry Valley, Cooperstown, DCMO BOCES Harrold and Pole Campuses, Delaware Academy, Downsville, Gilboa-Conesville, Hancock, Hunter-Tannersville, Laurens, Milford, Morris, ONC BOCES Otsego Area Occupational Center and Northern Catskills Occupational Center, Roxbury, Sherburne-Earlville, South Kortright, Unadilla Valley, Unatego, Walton, and Worcester Central School Districts.
