DELHI - Voters have several options for casting their ballots in the Nov. 3 general election, including early voting, absentee voting and voting in person at their assigned polling places.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 3.
The Delaware County Board of Elections reminds residents that the deadline to change their address is Monday, Oct. 19. The deadline to register to vote in the general election is Saturday, Oct. 24.
Voters who wish to cast absentee ballots must ensure their applications are received by the Board of Elections by Oct. 24. Applications can also be submitted online through the New York State Board of Elections portal at absenteeballot.elections.ny.gov
Voters may also apply for an absentee ballot in person at the Delaware County Board of Elections office, 97 Main Street, Suite 5, Delhi, and vote there at the same time, if they choose.
Once an absentee ballot has been issued, a voter cannot vote on a voting machine on Election Day. Anyone who wishes to vote in-person instead must use an affidavit ballot.
Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 3 and received by the Board of Elections no later than Nov. 10. Voters may also return absentee ballots to polling places on Election Day.
