The annual meeting of the Delaware County Historical Association (DCHA) will be held Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. in the large gallery with a potluck luncheon. This will be followed by the presentation of DCHA’s annual Awards of Merit to groups and individuals who have volunteered their time and skills to preserve and/or present the history of Delaware County.
This year, the following individuals and groups will be recognized for their achievements: Walton Theatre Preservation Association, Delaware County Diggers, Eli Taylor, Middletown and Scott Payne, Deposit.
DCHA is proud to honor these people and organizations who have contributed to the preservation and understanding of our county’s fascinating history.
A short business meeting will follow the presentation of awards.
The general public is also invited to stay for the 2:45 p.m. presentation by local historian Bill Birns entitled, “Delaware County. Rural Mountain Culture. Urbane Gentrification.”
