Delaware County village elections

Elections for trustee and mayor seats will take place in Delaware County March 19 from noon to 9 p.m. - with the exception of the village of Deposit, where elections will take place March 5. The following candidates are seeking office:

Delhi

• Jeremy Fitch is seeking reelection as trustee for a two-year term.

• Barbara Sturdevant, appointed to fill the vacancy left by Jeffrey Gearhart when he was elected mayor last year, is seeking a two-year trustee seat.

Voting will take place at Delhi Village Hall, 9 Court Street, Delhi. 

Franklin

• Johanna VanDeusen, a trustee, is seeking the mayor seat. Current Mayor Tom Briggs is not seeking reelection.

• Constance Martin is seeking a two-year trustee seat.

Voting will take place at Franklin Village Hall, 141 Water Street, Franklin.

Walton

• Steven Condon for trustee, two year term.

• Vacancy; write-in or appointment for a two year term.

Voting will take place at the village hall, 21 North Street, Walton.

Sidney

• Thomas M. Hoskins for trustee to fill the seat left vacant by former Trustee Jeremy Matviak. There are three years left in the four year term.

Voting will take place at Sidney Civil Center, 21 Liberty Street, board meeting room.

Fleischmanns:

• No information available

Hobart

• No elections this year.

Margaretville

• David Budin is running for reelection for trustee.

• Jeffrey Warren is running for reelection for trustee.

Voting will take place at village hall, 773 Main Street, Margaretville.

Stamford

• Robert Orcutt, is seeking a two year seat.

Deposit

• Deposit side - Incumbent Trustee James Durning is seeking reelection for a two year term.

• Sanford side - Incumbent Trustee Dan Strauss is seeking reelection for a two year term.

• Incumbent Mayor Bryan Moore is seeking reelection to a three-year term.

Deposit elections take place March 5 from noon to 9 p.m. at Deposit Village Hall, 61 Front Street.
