HAMDEN – Delaware Opportunities Inc. (DO) announced June 24 initial findings from its independent auditing firm indicating that DO’s fiscal management and internal controls remain exemplary.
These findings are reinforced by perfect scores received in recent state and federal program reviews, including the New York State Department of State’s Triennial Review for Accountability and Compliance with Standards (June 2025), as well as the federal Administration for Children and Families Annual Compliance Review for Organizational Standards (May 2026). State and federal oversight agencies conduct ongoing reviews of DO’s programs, ranging from desk audits to comprehensive on-site evaluations.
Final audit results will be released upon completion and are expected to reaffirm DO’s longstanding record of program compliance, responsible stewardship of public funds and service to the community. DO uses the same independent auditing firm as Delaware County.
The independent audit findings, together with recent perfect compliance reviews by the New York State Department of State and the federal Administration for Children and Families, demonstrate a strong verified track record of efficiency, transparency, and accountability in DO’s administration of critical public safety net programs.
