WALTON -  UHS Delaware Valley Hospital on Wednesday, May 20, marked the ceremonial start of demolition of the former Addiction Treatment Program wing, launching the next phase of its Medical Neighborhood expansion project.

Hospital leaders and project partners gathered on site May 20 as crews began the initial work, signaling the start of a broader effort to modernize and expand care services for Delaware County and surrounding communities.

“This is more than the start of demolition — it’s the beginning of something new for our patients and our community,” said Rolland “Boomer” Bojo, hospital president and CEO.

A local third-grade student attended the event and documented the demolition start on video, underscoring the hospital’s emphasis on long-term community impact and future generations.

The Medical Neighborhood initiative is a multi-phase capital project aimed at improving access to care, enhancing patient experience and expanding services in the region.
