The Roxbury Library presents “Being an End-of-Life Doula” with Robert Cornett on Wednesday, Aug. 26 at 10 a.m. Cornett will give a brief overview and history of the End-of-Life Doula movement; their role in a hospice setting; and why you and your family might need a doula to support you at the end of life. There will be discussion of services provided by end-of-life doulas including the emotional and spiritual needs at the end of life; the training required and how to become an end-of-life doula.
Cornett, MTS, is a certified End-of-Life Doula and death educator working with hospice patients and their families in the Hudson Valley. He holds a master’s degree from Harvard Divinity School and is an actor and playwright.
