Entrepreneurship Boot Camp Oct. 21 – 22

Western Catskills Community Revitalization Council, Inc. (WCCRC) will hold a two-day intensive Entrepreneurship Boot Camp Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 21 and 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at MTC Conference Center, 61 Academy Street, Margaretville. The event is free, but advance registration is required. The program is partly funded by the A. Lindsay and Olive B. O’Connor Foundation.

Entrepreneurship Boot Camp will host ten workshops covering a variety of business topics such as marketing and branding, bookkeeping and accounting, insurance and risk management, how to form a business, how to write a business plan, and how to get certified as a Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) owned business.

In addition, the event will host two panel discussions, one on funding, and the other on mentorship, as well as a keynote address “Business on Catskills Time” delivered by visionary technologist Alex Waters. WCCRC Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is an opportunity for both start-ups and established businesses to improve their operations, access resources, expand customer base and increase sales, thus improving the business climate and revitalizing the local economy. WCCRC Business Assistance Program supports the entrepreneurial eco-system in the Western Catskills region, contributing to the creation and retention of jobs in an otherwise underserved area.
