The Roxbury Arts Group will unveil Some Bodies, a compelling group exhibition exploring themes of intimacy and identity through the lens of the human figure. The show opens Saturday, May 24 and runs through July 26 at the Roxbury Arts Center, 5025 Vega Mountain Road. A public artist reception will be held May 24 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Walter Meade Gallery.
Featuring more than 30 artists working across painting, photography, textiles, sculpture, and video, Some Bodies presents a multifaceted conversation about the ways we inhabit and depict the body. Participating artists hail from Delaware County and the greater northeast, including Aurora Andrews, Suzanne Ausnit, Leah DeVun, Kathleen Sweeney, Caitlin Winner, and many others.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and admission is free. The exhibit will be open through July 26.
