Fishing and fun at Hanford Mills Museum

Posted

As part of the Aug. 13 Exploration Day at Hanford Mills, cooper Bob Allers will be welcomed. He will demonstrate historic coopering skills, sharing the tools and techniques of constructing buckets, tubs, casks, and other containers. Along with Allers, the Dave Brandt Chapter 210 of Trout Unlimited will be pondside for a children’s catch and release fishing day. Participants can bring their own poles or borrow one. Visitors to the museum are also invited to try other activities throughout the Mill and learn about how corn is ground, crate building, and how belts and pullies are used to power machines.
