Franklin Christmas Stroll & Holiday Market Dec. 9

The traditional Christmas Stroll House Tour, firehouse and legion holiday markets and other events of the season are happening Saturday, Dec. 9.

The Christmas Stroll House Tour includes eight homes in the village of Franklin decorated for the holidays and most within walking distance of each other. The stroll will be Saturday, Dec. 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. Tickets are $10 per person or $15 per couple and will be sold at Yokel Restaurant, 458 Main Street, Franklin from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6; Thursday, Dec. 7; and Friday, Dec. 8. Tickets will also be sold at the holiday market from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.

The popular Trees and Trains for Christmas exhibit at the Frankin Railroad Museum, 572 Main Street, will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A Holiday Market will take place at the Franklin Firehouse garage, 351 Main Street and the American Legion building next door at 327 Main Street, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Coordinators Ruth Snow, Hanna VanDeusen and Jeneane Howard noted that over 40 vendors will be on hand with holiday wares, home décor, handmade clothing, food and more.

Bring your children to the Franklin Firehouse garage beginning at 6 p.m. for a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus who will have small gifts for each child. Kids can also make and decorate holiday ornaments.

Walk along Main Street and enjoy the festive lighted holiday trees decorated by Franklin Rotary Club members and other volunteers. The Franklin Free Library at 334 Main Street will have its traditional holiday story time for kids at 11 a.m. with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
