DELHI - Delaware County Public Health will offer free rabies vaccinations for dogs, cats and ferrets on Wednesday, Aug. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Delhi Fire Hall, 140 Delview Terrace Extension.
State law requires that all dogs and cats be vaccinated against rabies. Pets can receive their first shot at 3 months old; owners should bring prior vaccination records to determine eligibility for three-year coverage.
Dogs must be leashed and under control, and cats and ferrets must be in carriers. Pre-registration is encouraged by calling 607-832-5200.
