HAMDEN - Cornell Cooperative Extension of Delaware County will offer a hands-on canning workshop later this month for farmers and home preservers looking to turn their harvests into market-ready products.
The “Farm Fresh to Shelf Ready” workshop will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, from 1 to 3 p.m. at CCE Delaware, 34570 State Highway 10, Suite 2, in Hamden.
Designed for both small-scale farmers and home canners, the guided session will cover the essentials of producing and selling value-added foods legally and successfully — from food safety and labeling basics to regulatory requirements and best practices for bringing preserved products to market.
The registration fee is $15, which includes materials.
