STAMFORD — Three days of stand-up, improv, music and offbeat entertainment will take over Stamford later this month as the sixth annual Hill People’s Comedy Fest returns to the Catskills.

Presented by The Party Theater and the Belvedere Inn, the festival will run June 25-27 beneath a tent beside the historic inn on Academy Street.

The weekend opens with a kickoff party and a Local Voices showcase featuring students from a Stamford stand-up comedy class, followed by a featured performance from comedian Brittany Carney.

Friday’s schedule includes a free community improv workshop and two evening programs: a rapid-fire Comedy Barrage hosted by Justin Raymund and a comedy variety show featuring sketch, improv and musical acts.

Saturday blends family programming with headline performances. The day begins with a free clowning workshop for children led by Marisa Caruso, followed by a baby goat meet-and-greet and a question-and-answer session with headliner Mia Jackson. Evening events include a family-friendly comedy show and a stand-up showcase headlined by Jackson.

Festival organizers describe the event as a celebration of “silliness” that combines nationally touring performers with local talent in an intimate Catskills setting.

Tickets are $20 per show or $50 for a weekend pass. Additional information and tickets are available at thepartytheater.com
