HOBART - The Rotary Club of Hobart has named Heidi Pickett the recipient of this year’s Mel Carpenter Award, an annual honor recognizing exemplary service to the local community. At a dinner held at The Hidden Inn, Pickett was recognized by friends, family and fellow Rotarians for what organizers described as sustained, hands-on contributions to the Hobart area. The award, named for longtime civic volunteer Mel Carpenter, is given to individuals whose work reflects the club’s commitment to service.
