HSM Labor Day Weekend Activities

The Middletown History Center, 778 Cemetery Road, Margaretville, home of the Historical Society of the Town of Middletown, welcomes visitors Labor Day weekend, Saturday, Sept. 5 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

On Sunday, HSM will also display historic photos and sell local history books at Pheasant Fest in Halcottsville. The event, featuring kayak races, outdoor games, music by Hyzer Hillbillies, a barbecue and other activities, takes place from 10 to 7, 1 Bragg Hollow Road, beside Lake Wawaka, Halcottsville.

Visitors to the History Center are invited to bring lunch to enjoy at the pondside picnic table, view an exhibit on historic Arkville and check out the genealogical and historical documents in the Nicholas J. Juried Archives. Raffle tickets for a handcrafted clock can be purchased as well.
