It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Karin H. Crowley who left us on March 17, 2026, at the age of 91. She was born on Christmas Day, 1934, in Neuss, Germany, to Theodore and Regina Holl. During her childhood, she endured the pain of World War II. At school in Germany, she worked on her apprenticeship trade as a cake decorator/baker, and later worked in a bakery, where she met Karl-Heinz Werner Hansen, and they married in 1954. They immigrated to the United States in 1956, living in New York City five years, before making home in Walton until 1975.
Karin remarried in 1980 to a wonderful man, Daniel A. Crowley. He helped her raise the children; they were married 20 years until his untimely death in a car accident in 2000.
Karin loved being a world traveler, and accompanied by friends and family, she enjoyed using her timeshares. Karin loved the Christmas season and decorated extensively and loved managing the Christmas booths in malls at various sites. She enjoyed having a ceramic shop for eight years. Karin became a CPA and loved her job at H&R Block for 35 years. She worked many other jobs over the years to support her family, such as waitressing, auditing, as an election inspector, manufacturing general operator, seamstress, and had a Halloween booth, to name a few.
Karin lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, a spirit that touched everyone who knew her. Karin was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and family; she never forgot anyone’s birthday. Kindness blossomed in the hearts of those around her, sharing her love and wisdom with friends and family alike. Karin donated to so many charities and organizations.
