Belleayre Mountain is tuning up for a summer of free music and mountain fun. Beginning July 25, the state-run ski area will host a six-week concert series at its Discovery Lodge, drawing locals and visitors alike for a rotating lineup of live performances spanning classic rock, rhythm and blues, and country.
The series, dubbed Music on the Belle, runs Fridays through August 29. Admission is free.
Among the acts slated to perform: Third Rail will kick off the season with classic rock anthems, followed by the 60s jukebox stylings of Roadhouse 60s on August 1. The Black Dirt Bandits, a country rock outfit, are scheduled for August 8, with rhythm and blues from The Saints on August 15. A highlight of the series comes August 22, when The Tom Prettys — an all-female Tom Petty tribute band — take the stage. The season will close with Peter & His Band of Wolves, performing a blend of classic pop and contemporary favorites.
The performances are part of Belleayre’s broader push to establish the mountain as a year-round destination. Food trucks, lawn games, gondola rides, and a climbing wall will round out the Friday evening events.
The concert series comes on the heels of the annual Mountain Jam music festival, held June 20–22, which draws larger crowds for nationally known acts across genres like rock, folk, indie, and Americana. Other summer activities include the opening of Belleayre Beach, scenic lift rides, hiking trails, and a July 19 outdoor screening of Wonka at the beach.
