Love Our New York Lands Stewardship Day event registration is open

Posted

Volunteer registration is now open for Adirondack and Catskill Park Day on Saturday, Sept. 7, and Fish and Wildlife Day Saturday, Sept. 28. Show your appreciation for New York’s diverse and beautiful public lands by participating in one of these stewardship opportunities.

Adirondack and Catskill Park Day highlights New York’s unique forest preserve lands by offering service projects throughout the Adirondack and Catskill Parks. Help with a campground cleanup after a busy summer season or participate in a trail maintenance project to support sustainable outdoor recreation.

Fish and Wildlife Day offers stewardship projects and educational workshops that focus on wildlife and conservation. Help remove invasive species to foster healthy wildlife habitat, build a birdhouse that will benefit native species, or participate in a birding walk or fishing clinic to learn about the importance of wildlife conservation.

Gather your friends and family and join your community in helping to preserve and protect New York lands. Volunteer by visiting the Parks & Trails New York website.

Adirondack and Catskill Park Day and Fish and Wildlife Day are part of the Love Our New York Lands Stewardship Days Campaign, an effort created in partnership with Parks & Trails New York, the Canal Corporation, New York State Parks, and DEC. www.ptny.org/events/love-our-new-york-lands
