Margaretville Central School proudly recognizes Brianna Santos as valedictorian of the Class of 2026, the highest academic honor awarded to a graduating senior, in recognition of her dedication, perseverance, and consistent commitment to excellence throughout her high school career.
Brianna is the daughter of Jonatan and Karina Santos.
Over the past two years, she attended NCOC BOCES in the Visual Communications (VisCom) program. While at BOCES, she participated in SkillsUSA and served as class secretary.
Brianna advises underclassmen: “Don’t let failure go to your heart and don’t let success go to your head.”
She also encourages students to stay on top of their work while not letting it become overwhelming.
In the fall of 2026, Brianna plans to attend Champlain College to pursue a degree in accounting. She also hopes to travel and explore new places in the future.

Margaretville Central School is proud to announce that Olivia Wells has earned the distinguished honor of salutatorian of the Class of 2026, recognizing her exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to excellence throughout her high school career.
Olivia is the daughter of Amanda and John Wells.
Throughout high school, she has been actively involved in numerous academic, leadership, and extracurricular activities, including Scitamard Society, Senate, National Honor Society, OVA, Art Club, QSA, chorus, All County Choir, NYSSMA, All-State Choir, and SADD.
Olivia is also recognized by the college board as an Advanced Placement Scholar, scoring a three or higher on three advanced placement examinations.
Olivia’s favorite quote comes from Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë: “I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will.”
The quote reflects her determination, independence, and commitment to her goals.
Following graduation, Olivia plans to attend the University at Albany to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She hopes to continue her education and become a psychiatric nurse practitioner.

Margaretville Central School is honored to announce that Isabella F. Andre has earned the distinction of laureate of the Class of 2026. Isabella is the daughter of Mark and Rebecca Andre. During her time at Margaretville Central School, she has been actively involved in a variety of extracurricular and leadership activities, including softball, FCCLA, OVA, NJHS, NHS, NTHS, the BOCES ONC CTE Student Board, and stage crew.
Isabella is recognized for her hard work, leadership, and dedication both inside and outside the classroom. She lives by the quote: “When the work you put in is realized, let yourself feel the pride, but always stay humble and kind.” She also encourages others to remember that “respect goes a long way.”
Following graduation, Isabella plans to attend SUNY Cobleskill, where she will earn her bachelor’s degree in canine management and training.
