Mobile CT scanner at O’Connor Hospital while $750K fundraising effort underway

To prevent any service disruptions, O’Connor Hospital in Delhi has rented a temporary mobile CT scanner while fundraising continues to purchase a permanent, state-of-the-art model. The mobile scanner, provided by Alliance Healthcare, is stationed next to the hospital, offering patients a familiar, full-service imaging experience with local technicians.

O’Connor Hospital President Susan Oakes Ferrucci emphasized that the temporary scanner is crucial for meeting local diagnostic needs without requiring travel. As the mobile scanner operates, renovations to the in-hospital suite prepare for the future permanent CT scanner. These upgrades will enhance temperature and humidity controls for patient comfort.

Since the launch of the $750,000 fundraising campaign in August, O’Connor Hospital has raised $300,000. Peter Hamilton, chair of the hospital’s Board of Trustees said, “This upgrade will help us continue our high standard of care.”
