WALTON - Mosaic Winds will return to the Walton Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 18, for an evening of chamber music as part of the Music on the Delaware Coffeehouse series.
The performance, scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m., will feature the wind quintet’s program, “Rhythm and Grace,” with music inspired by dance.
Mosaic Winds — flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon and horn — helped launch Music on the Delaware’s coffeehouse series in 2010 and has returned regularly since.
The ensemble includes flutist Lindsey Williams, oboist Kathy Karlsen, clarinetist Carol Barker, bassoonist Melinda Lewis and horn player Jeff Barker. The musicians perform and teach throughout the Southern Tier and have appeared with groups including the Binghamton Philharmonic, Binghamton Community Orchestra, Tri-Cities Opera and Southern Tier Concert Band.
The event is free, with desserts and beverages provided. Donations to Music on the Delaware will be accepted.
The coffeehouse series will continue Nov. 15 with guitarist and singer Jason Starr.
