A PowerPoint program called Walton and the Delhi Branch of the O&W Railway presented by author and railroad historian Mark Kennaugh, was held Sunday, July 17, as part of the Hamden Bicentennial. The program took those attending on a journey on the O & W branch from Walton to Delhi, showing the impact the railroad had on the communities it served using maps and many images showing the development of rail-served businesses over the life of the railroad, some of which date to pre-1900.

Railroad and history buffs alike enjoyed viewing Kennaugh’s collection of photographs of buildings and places that once existed along the railroad corridor from Walton to Delhi from the 1870s to the 1950s.
