DELHI – In response to a wave of recent policy changes, Open Catskills is calling on the community to come together in support of vulnerable residents seeking refuge in the area. The organization invites neighbors to a community gathering Sunday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Bushel, 106 Main Street, Delhi.
The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to connect, discuss ways to offer mutual aid, and support those in need. A bake sale will be held during the gathering, with proceeds benefiting Open Catskills’ new Rapid-Response Fund, which provides immediate relief and safety assistance to those seeking help.
Community members are encouraged to contribute home-baked goods — both sweet and savory — between 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Donations to the Rapid-Response Fund can also be made online for those unable to attend in person.
