The Otsego County Pomona Grange will hold its next meeting on Saturday, June 7, at the historic Colonel Harper Grange Hall, 170 Wilcox Road, beginning at 11 a.m.
The agenda includes officer reports, community service grant updates, a baking competition, and ceremonial observances. Families attending are asked to bring their own table service for a noon luncheon, which will be provided by the host, Colonel Harper Grange.
A key feature of the gathering will be presentations from local Granges that received Pomona funds for community service projects. Each group will report on how the funding was used to support local initiatives.
The annual chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting baking contest returns, with all entries due by 11 a.m.
Chaplain Gladys Tabor will lead a memorial service honoring deceased members who held the Fifth Degree within the Pomona Grange. Lecturer Pat Hornbeck will present a themed program titled “Pot to Plate.”
Members will also vote on new Pomona Grange officers and delegates to the New York State Grange convention. A Fifth Degree welcoming ceremony is scheduled as part of the proceedings.
The meeting continues the Pomona Grange’s long-standing tradition of fostering rural leadership, civic engagement, and agricultural education across Otsego County.
