Patricia A. Knapp, 86, of Walton, passed away on Aug. 20, 2025, at Wilson Hospital with her daughters by her side.
Patricia was born in Hancock on Nov. 8, 1938, to Lawrence and Mary Frances Doyle. She married Fred Knapp on Aug. 2, 1958.
Besides raising a family, she was Fred’s bookkeeper for his plumbing business, a babysitter, dog sitter, and even the neighborhood hairdresser.
Pat enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and taking care of her home and house plants. She loved her grand-fur babies, and spending time with her family.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Fred Knapp, her siblings Shirley DeSilva, Robert Doyle, and Luella Olson, her son in-law Jerry D’Addezio, a niece JoAnne DeSilva, nephew Steve Olson, and her dear friend Frances Watson.
Pat is survived by her daughters Darla D’Addezio (Paul Olsen) and Tracy Knapp (Michael Kirtley); Barb Doyle, three nephews, the D’Addezio family, and close family friend Rosie Green.
A graveside service for Patricia will be held on Friday, Aug. 29, at 11 a.m. at the Walton Cemetery, 55 Fancher Ave., Walton.
Memorial donations may be made in Pat’s name to Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, Walton Emergency Squad, and The Walton Cemetery.
