Walton Lanes held a “soft” opening Saturday, March 29, and hosted a fundraising benefit for Mackey Church of Walton, a longtime daytime delivery driver for Gramma D’s who recently lost his leg due to illness and is now unable to work. Mackey’s sister, Linda Moore, led the effort, with family members securing an array of prizes, including an autographed New York Giants football won by Derek Lambrecht, and four New York Yankees tickets claimed by Tom Harrington and Tina Niles — both fitting prizes for Mackey, a devoted fan of the Giants and Yankees.
