Customers at Price Chopper and Market 32 stores can help provide food to local animal shelters and pet-support organizations through a pet food drive running through Oct. 10.
Shoppers can purchase a $10 bag containing five Pure Harmony dog or cat food items. The donated food will be distributed to animal shelters and organizations in participating stores’ local communities.
The donations are intended to help shelters provide food for animals awaiting adoption while supporting programs that assist families experiencing difficulty affording food for their pets.
The companies said the drive is part of their broader community outreach efforts involving hunger relief, health and wellness and assistance for families and their pets.
