Republican primary June 24; early voting begins June 14

DELHI — A Republican primary election for the office of Delaware County Treasurer will take place Tuesday, June 24. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at assigned polling places across the county.

In addition to the countywide contest, Republican primaries for local town offices are scheduled in Colchester, Hancock, Meredith, Sidney, Stamford, Tompkins, and Walton. No Democratic primaries are scheduled.

Sample ballots for each municipality, along with voter registration tools, are available at the Delaware County Board of Elections website.

Early Voting

Registered voters may vote early at the Board of Elections office at 97 Main Street, Suite 5, Delhi, during the following dates and times:

• June 14 and 15 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• June 16 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• June 17 and 18 – 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• June 19 – 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• June 20 – 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

• June 21 and 22 – 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Ballots cast during early voting are final; those voters may not vote again on Election Day.

Key Deadlines

• June 9 – Deadline for address changes by registered voters.

• June 14 – Last day to register to vote or submit a request for an absentee ballot by mail or via the state portal.

• June 23 – Last day to apply in person for an absentee ballot.

• June 24 – Last day to vote in person or deliver a completed absentee ballot to the Board of Elections or poll site.

• July 1 – Absentee ballots submitted by mail must be received by this date; they must be postmarked no later than June 24.
