Roxbury Arts Group: Painting the Streets with Lisbeth Firmin

The Roxbury Arts Group enthusiastically welcomes urban landscape painter Lisbeth Firmin back to the Headwaters Arts Center in Stamford for a weekend of plein air painting on the streets. This one or two day workshop will be hosted at the Headwaters Arts Center, 66 Main Street, Stamford, on Saturday and Sunday, May 18 and 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The workshop is intended for beginner to advanced painters looking to expand their painting skills. The fee is $125 for both days or $75 for a single day. Easels will be available but students are expected to bring their own materials; a complete list of required materials is available at roxburyartsgroup.org Students will meet at the Headwaters Building, 66 Main Street at 10 a.m. Firmin will start the day with a demonstration and will offer a critique at the end of each session. There will be a one-hour lunch break each day, and the session will conclude at 4 p.m. Participants will learn to work quickly, with big brushes and hold color to capture the light and shadow of Main Street action.
